Want to enjoy Thanksgiving without the regret and stomach pains that come from all that rich food? Check out our simple Thanksgiving swaps that let you enjoy your favorites without all the guilt!

1. The Turkey

Want to enjoy more meat and less mess? Grill your turkey! Season and stuff your turkey as usual, but grill it instead of frying it.

Heat your grill to 500-550 degrees and cook 11 minutes for each pound your bird is. Always use a meat thermometer to make sure the meat is at least 165 degrees, then let it rest for 10 minutes, and dig in!

2. The Potatoes

We know the thought of mashed cauliflower is a little crazy for a lot of people, so instead, go half and half!

Prepare your mashed potatoes as usual, just substitute half the potatoes with cauliflower! In the end your tongue won’t know the difference, but your body will! This is also a great option for relatives with diabetes.

3. The Stuffing

Stuffing is a crowd favorite, but avoid stuffing yourself and not having room for delicious veggies with a simple muffin tin! Cook your stuffing in a muffin tin for perfectly portioned bites with no extra work!

4. The Cranberry Sauce

While it may seem sinful to get your cranberry sauce anywhere but out of the can, it’s a simple way to save yourself some sugar, and double down on flavor!

Making your own cranberry sauce (you can find a recipe that suits your family’s taste easily) is easier than you think, and you’ll save your body from a sugar coma.

5. The Dessert

Did you know if you opt for pecan pie instead of pumpkin pie you can save over 300 calories!

Indulge your sweet tooth with the equally delicious pecan pie, and enjoy every bite without the guilt!
