Ear Cleaning

Ear cleaning is the removal of ear wax when symptoms of an earache, partial hearing loss, ringing in the ear or itching are present.

Most cases of ear wax blockage respond to home treatments used to soften wax. If home treatments are not clearing up your symptoms, you may want to consult with your EPIC Health doctor.

By using suction, special miniature instruments and a microscope to magnify the ear canal, your doctor can remove the excess ear wax. If you are prone to repeated ear wax blockage or wearing hearing aids, consider seeing your doctor every six to 12 months for a checkup and routine preventive cleaning.
